Sports

The sports curriculum at Shikshantar is designed according to the needs of the different age groups. In the pre-primary classes the focus is on the development of the large and gross motor skills. Games and activities are planned to help children develop confidence in their physical abilities and a love for sports. They build on their stamina, flexibility, body balance, strength and also overcome their physical fears and hesitations. This serves as a preparedness to engage in the formal sport activities in the coming years.

Vanar Vatika is a favourite area to explore their physical and imaginative selves. Climbing the monkey ladder, jumping from the jungle gym, pretending to be going on a space ride in the yellow tunnel and crawling like a tiger on the hillock are a part of their everyday experiences.

Q. How much time on an average does a student spend on physical activities?

Q. Do we go for inter school matches?

Q. What are the sports facilities offered to middle and senior school children?
