What was truly unique about this MUN was that the committees were small and comprised of mostly (there was only one more school besides ours) college students. This meant that the debate was intense and the level of debating was high. For example, in the International Court of Justice, other than Abhay and Yash, all the other participants were law students. Despite the fact that the other participants had an edge over our our students in terms of experience and technical knowledge related to the given agenda (at least to some extent), our students matched up to them in all respects. This was acknowledged by all the chairpersons in their feedback session.
One of our students, Nandini Goel of Zephyr group won the High Commendation award in her committee, Mufti Cabinet.
There is no doubt that the experience was enriching. Our students got to learn more about researching for an agenda and debating over issues. With this experience, they are now raring to go for school level MUNs.
