Udaan Open House - Class VIII
The culmination of Udaan was the Open House, where children of Class VIII invited their parents to walk alongside them through their journey of little discoveries. Through a Power Point presentation, creative movements and a musical presentation, they shared their reflections, learning and dreams, bringing their journey to life with confidence and enthusiasm.
The theme began by reading the story ‘The Little Book of Joy’ written by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The children wrote messages about what gives them joy to be sent to the sky. They explored the wisdom and inspiration in trees through the book ‘How to be More Tree’. The children created awe inspiring write-ups around their expressions on the quality they imbibed from any one tree ‘Which Tree I would Be’. They created their beautifully illustrated road maps on achieving their goals and delved into their inner selves to develop emotional resilience. The little teenagers shared about the purpose of their being, their strengths, what the world needs as they walked through the journey of their aspirations, hopes and goals..
Udaan was not merely about reaching a destination, it was about discovering the wings within, finding a sense of purpose and learning to take flight towards a future they envision for themselves.
