Sports Retreat- Classes V&VI- 2025-26
Do you know what my favourite part of the game is? The opportunity to play.
-Mike Singletary
Our school spaces truly come alive when children learn, play, and grow together- especially
outdoors. As we step into this season with renewed energy, the children along with their Sports
facilitators were all thrilled to organise the Sports Retreat for Classes V and VI.
This retreat is the grand culmination of a year-long journey of physical growth and discovery. Having
transitioned from the foundational pre-skills of Primary School to choosing the sport of their liking
in Middle School, our students have spent the year honing their strength, stamina, agility, and
coordination.
The heart of this year’s retreat lies in our intra-school matches. These games provide a natural stage
for our young athletes to apply their technical skills while embracing the core values of teamwork,
strategy, and discipline.
We also took a moment to celebrate the recent triumphs of our Class 5 and 6 students in
Inter-School Competitions. From the precision of Badminton, Chess, and Table Tennis to the
high-energy sports of Football, Basketball, Cricket, and Volleyball, and the focus of Yoga, our
students have shone bright. On the track, they pushed their limits in events like the 100m, Hurdles,
and Relay races, as well as field events like Shot Put and High Jump.
As the day’s activities drew to a close, the students were given coriander plants to take home and
nurture as mementoes that mirrored the personal progress and development each one of them are
experiencing. With our fields and halls buzzing with the vibrant spirit of our young players, it was a
joy to witness them growing stronger and more confident, sharing their passion for sports with
family and friends.
