While students enjoy their summer break, the Shikshantar team takes the opportunity to explore and refine their own skills through a series of enriching experiences. These engagements enhance their day-to-day interactions and effectiveness with children.
In experiences ranging from morning Oorja, guided meditation, music, dance and art sessions, the team took a deep dive into the power of rhythm, movement, creativity, and collective energy. These sessions highlighted the value of harmony and mindfulness in both personal and professional spaces.
A reflective session led by Seema Didi around Don Miguel Ruiz’s book ‘The Four Agreements’ explored simple yet profound principles that can be incorporated while working with the children. An intriguing idea that struck a chord with the facilitators was of being impeccable with one’s words and being firm in one’s convictions regardless of societal expectations. The teachers closed the session by participating in collaborative art pieces highlighting their thoughts on the reading.
The entire team also participated in a refresher training on fire safety and emergency response - both on campus, ensuring preparedness and safety for all.
