Quiet adieu to our fish friends
At Shikshantar, the circle of life is a daily experience — in the flutter of butterflies, the rustle of trees, and quiet moments by the pond. Every morning, our children big and small , old and new pause, connect, and center themselves with the life around them.
We recently bid a quiet adieu to our fish friends at the Primary Block .
It sparked conversations with the children during Circle Time. Through gentle conversations, the Didis spoke to the children about caring for all living beings that share mother earth with us and handling loss with love and responsibility.
The children were reassured that Aris Turtle is safe and that the pond is being restored carefully and together, we reflected on care, loss, and responsibility for all living beings.
The pond with the turtle, a place of quiet connect for all members of Shikshantar family, awaits for life to return in some new form. Life continues with greater care and deeper gratitude for all living beings big and small - the trees, the flowers, the bees and many others .
