Primary School Large Circle Time - 23rd Shikshantar Birthday Celebration
For the Primary School, the theme of Oorja on Shikshantar’s 23rd birthday celebration took on a colourful and organic form. The children explored the energy of nature, drawing inspiration from the vibrant colours of trees, plants and flowers.
The children of Class IV swayed to instrumental music and also presented a song while the children of Class I came up with their own creative movements on ‘एक दिन सोचा’. Each of the classes shared their journey around the theme in the months leading up to the celebration.
Children played a game of quiz with Minoti didi where she closed her eyes and pointed at any child that wanted to ask questions. Children thoroughly enjoyed coming up with interesting questions like - “Who was the first student?” or “When was Shikshantar born?” Didi shared that the school was created in 2002 and the first student’s name was Khushi which they thought was a good sign for what they envisioned the school to become.
To mark the occasion, the children of Class IV presented to Minoti Didi a 3D model they created of her sitting in the Champa tree surrounded by the animal friends of Shikshantar using clay and paper quilling.
Through games, stories and shared moments, the younger children also connected with the essence of energy - asking questions, engaging with each other and tapping into the joy of the occasion.
