Hamara Manch 2025 - Primary School
Hamara Manch is a representation of the spirit and progression of each child. A culmination of
their experiences in the past academic year, they present their learning journey through
creative expression in songs, dances and roleplays.
Everyone possesses a unique inner energy or ‘Oorja’. Each day, our Oorja defines our actions
and experiences. Each child has their own oorja that maps out their interactions with each
other. Experiences across different classes in the Primary School about how they related with
the theme were reflected in unique expressions.
A roleplay on the Kurinjee flower was a mirroring of the energy the children saw within
themselves. A powerful musical roleplay on ‘The Paper Dolls’ expressed the idea of ‘Paper thin
and Mighty strong’ to show the resilience of memory and the power of bonding experiences. An
orange panda's search for self-identity was seen through another roleplay. Through songs and
dances, the children also celebrated the varied cultures of India, moving from North India to the
coastal plains.
The presentation was a culmination of experiences with positive thoughts about the
Shikshantar family coming together and Sanjay Bhaiya appreciated every child for the maturity
and team work they displayed in each presentation who particularly enjoyed the play on ‘Mulla
Nasiruddin’ and ‘Sargam’ with the gentle magic of X’mas and festive cheers. Speaking with the
parents, Minoti Didi put emphasis on the ‘Oorja’ of parenting, the importance of being fully
present with their children and not letting digital distractions come in the way of a meaningful
experience.
The children's efforts and simple earnestness were clear to see and will have moved the hearts
of the onlooking parents and grandparents.
