Onam Celebrations 2025

On the occasion of Onam, the children of Shikshantar connected to its significance through experiences around the celebration of the rice harvest in Kerala each year. The Class III children created floral rangolis called ‘Pookkalams’ in small groups and explored creative movements to ‘तई तई तई ..’ strengthening their spirit of teamwork. The group Didis also lovingly prepared the sweet Kerala snack ‘Sharkara Upperi’ for the children to share and relish with each other.

The Pre Primary children connected to the essence of Onam as they explored the boat dance. They also danced together in a circle to the tunes of other Onam songs.
