Bake Sale by the Family Society and I (FSI) Committee, 29th October, 2022

The FSI Committee was excited to reinitiate the Bake Sale this year which is a way for them to fully harmonize a sense of community involving students, parents and facilitators. The Bake Sale gave a chance to young bakers to bake scrumptious and delightful homemade goods and all proceeds earned out of the Sale were meant for donation to a worthy cause. After much deliberation and careful planning, the Committee opened the doors to the Bake Sale @9:00am on a Saturday. The menu this year looked nothing short of a professional bakery with brownies, cupcakes, lemon cake, apple pie, cake pops, cinnamon rolls and more on offer. It was a moment of immense pride and warmth that our young volunteers of class XI and XII left no stone unturned to make this successful and parents and facilitators came in huge numbers to support their effort. With 30+ students who baked for the sale this year, the Committee was able to raise a sum of Rs. 35,200/- at the end of the day which will be used towards donation.

The event also saw children in a different light and also helped them build real-world and entrepreneurial skills as they confidently managed all aspects ranging from inventory and accounting to promotions on the day of the Sale. The response for the initiative was extremely heartening and the sum raised will further help the Committee make a difference towards our society.
