	Our children of classes IV- VIII took part in the inter- school initiative organised by Nirmal Bhartia School, the Together We Can Challenge 2011-12! The challenge was to engage in a real world task and bring about concrete and meaningful change. This had to be done by designing a Wall Magazine for a Primary School in the Nizamuddin Basti. Three students each from classes IV and V-Group A and two students each from classes VI, VII and VIII- Group B were chosen as the representatives. They were required to create a 3D model representation for a Wall Magazine on the selected theme. The theme selected by Group A was ‘The Universe’ and by Group B was ‘Incredible India’. Along with the 3 D wall model portraying the design concept, each team worked on a presentation of about 10-15 slides, detailing: Why the particular theme was selected. Key concepts being shared through the design. The process followed by the team in order to put together the model. Suggested list of recycled and other material used for creating the final Wall Magazine, with reasons why. The challenge provided opportunities to our children to think creatively, plan effectively, work collaboratively, make optimal use of resources and finally, respond with solutions that are innovative, creative and feasible. We are happy to share that our Group A team was declared as the winning team and our Group B team’s design was selected as the best design option. The models of our two teams will now be used to create the design on the wall inside the Primary School at the Nizamuddin Basti.
